When it comes to electronic data capture (EDC) systems, one size does not fit all. It is critical to select an EDC system that has the features needed for study execution, without paying for unnecessary functions. At Clinilabs, we use a combination of proprietary systems and commercial off-the-shelf EDC applications that represent the best fit for each study or program we manage. We have used applications offered by Phase Forward, Medidata, Medrio, Octagon, Omnicomm, Phoenix Data Systems, and QDS, so we are familiar with large systems used by major pharma companies, as well as many of the lower-cost alternatives preferred by biotechnology companies. This gives sponsors the ability to use electronic case report forms in any clinical study we manage, large or small.
